Because this could make for a good book some day

December 13, 2022

Or a book at least.

Baseball-Reference.com posted this somewhat skimpy Year in Review today. Among the interesting bits of “trivia”:

  • Most player page views by state
  • Most team page views by state
  • Most viewed player pages on a single day
  • Top 10 player page views for 2022

And that’s it. Kind of disappointing, especially when the email shows three of the four items while telling to click a link that suggests “see the full year in review.” Just think of all the information at their disposal. You know they could have come up with some really interesting stuff. Like who’s the most viewed player of all-time? Or which stat is the most-viewed? Which they would have to do to make it book-length. Actually, I’m kind of surprised no one there thought about this before. Or maybe they have and just didn’t bring it to fruition.
