Welcome back to a new “season” of Bookshelf Conversations. Now that the summer is over, I hope to be doing these on a regular basis.
Leading off, we begin with Seth Kramer, “hyphenate” for the documentary, Heading Home: The Tale of Team Israel, about the almost-Cinderella story that was the Israeli National Team in the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
Full disclosure, I have not seen the film. This is a first for me since I always want to read the book or see the movie or listen to the music before chatting with these creative people so I can pose intelligent questions. But Heading Home is coming to a theater near me (and, hopefully, you): Kramer will be at the 7 p.m. screening on Thursday, Sept. 12, the Claridge Cinema on Bloomfield Avenue for a Q&A and I wanted to get this out there in advance of the event.
Below is a list of upcoming events in the New York and California areas.
Here’s a brief review from The New York Times.
