Beach reading

Hold the beach.

Those who have read this blog for any length of time know I’m not much for fiction.

But this summer I’m taking a break from the norm and devoting the month of July to reading nothing but baseball novels. I’ve chosen two to begin with: The Resistors, by Gish Jen, and This Never Happened: The Mystery Behind the Death of Christy Mathewson, by J.B. Manheim.

The Resisters: A novel by [Gish Jen]. 

I figure it will take less than a week to read each one, so I’m looking for suggestions for two or three more titles. The only things are, they have to have been published within the last two years, for adults, and with baseball as the main theme.
