As I say in the interview, Dan Schlossberg is a busy guy. He’s written or co-written 40 books, including two updates that were released this year, The New Baseball Bible: Notes, Nuggets, Lists, and Legends from Our National Pastime
and Designated Hebrew: The Ron Blomberg Story
. The former is one of those things that needs constant updating and makes for great entertainment when you don’t have the time for a single-subject book, such as the latter offering which brings us current as to Blomberg’s thoughts on the modern game and a few other issues he forgot to mention in the first go-around.
Schlossberg has also published more than 25,000 articles about the national pastime. If you break it down, that means he’s written an article day…for more than his entire life. If my math is correct. And I make no guarantees. (And that doesn’t even include his work as a travel writer.)
He is an unabashed Braves fan; more often than not I’ve seen him at various events decked out in his team’s attire. But you Mets fans shouldn’t hold that against him.
