Sorry but when I see the word “free,” I want to take it at their, well, word.
So when I saw the headline on my Google alert that said “Free eBook downloads are back for spring training books! – Ballpark Digest,” that’s what I thought it meant. But upon further review…
“The offer is simple. Buy the paperback edition and you’ll receive a link to a free download of the Kindle version of The Complete Guide to Spring Training 2026 / Florida or The Complete Guide to Spring Training 2026 / Arizona, depending on your original purchase.”
Not only that, but “Available only with paperbacks purchased from the augustublications.com website.” In other words, you have to buy it directly from them, otherwise you don’t get the free version. By the way, why would you need a Kindle version of the same book? Are they that heavy you wouldn’t want to carry it around (13.9 announces according to Amazon)?
