♦ As we head into the postseason, there will be a number of articles/stories by people and outlets that don’t normally cover baseball. And a lot of those items will be “fringe” pieces, that is, not about the current games on the field, but meant to invite readers to learn more about various aspects of the sport. One such example is this piece on johnkassnews.com which prominently features Fielder’s Choice: An Anthology of Baseball Fiction, published in 1979.
