Well, I do have time… (Baseball movies)

If this is on the level, I’m in, since my surgery recovery incarceration puts me in a great position to put the time to good use.

Shane Co., a jewelry company, has announced a promotion in which some lucky cinephile will get $1,000 for “binge watching” 10 baseball movies, according to this piece from CNBC.com’s “Make It” column by Tom Huddelston Jr.

Once selected,

you’ll need to give the company your thoughts on each of the 10 movies by December 5 to get the $1,000 prize. The movies are:

  1. “42”
  2. “A League of Their Own”
  3. “Bull Durham”
  4. “Field of Dreams”
  5. “Moneyball”
  6. “The Bad News Bears”
  7. “The Natural”
  8. “The Rookie”
  9. “The Sandlot”
  10. “Trouble with the Curve”

Here’s the link to the contest. Given the deadline, it doesn’t strike me as the true meaning of binge watching but what the heck. Seems too good to be true, especially since “Shane Co. declined CNBC Make It’s request for comment.” Why not comment and promote as much as possible?
