Headnote: One of the thing I like about the Pandemic Baseball Book Club is that it’s a kind of “one stop shopping.” Instead of posting about various authors, projects, and events, all I’m doing here is cutting and pasting their weekly newsletter. Do take a moment to read the author Q&A. I find them particularly interesting as they discuss the arduous process of bringing their projects to press.
Looks like this is it for the year.
By the way, here are “Bookshelf Conversations” I’ve had with some of the authors associated with the PBBC:
- John Shea
- Joan Ryan
- Jason Turbow
- Anika Orrock
- Brad Balukjian
- Dan Schlossberg
- Devin Gordon
- Luke Epplin
- Dan Epstein
- Bryan Hoch
- Jason Turbow, Redux
- E. Ethelbert Miller
Visit the PBBC for the latest batch of authors with new books coming out this year.
Well, we made it to October. March and April, when the vast majority of our books were released, seems very far away.
With that, our 2021 season comes to a close. We’re gonna watch the playoffs and take a much-needed break, and will be back next spring with a new batch of baseball books. If you missed any of our baseball-book conversations, you can find them all at PBBClub.com.
In the meantime, enjoy our final conversation of the season, in which resident poet E. Ethelbert Miller talks to Bryan Solderholm-Difatte about his duo of books released by Rowman & Littlefield, The Reshaping of America’s Game, and America’s Game in the Wild-Card Era.
Have a great winter, everybody, from all your friends at the PBBC.
