Posting this now in case anyone out there wants to attend…
From the The Great Fenway Park Writers Series…
At noon Tuesday, August 28, the Red Sox, Bank of America, Writers Series, BoSox, and Residence Inn Back Bay Boston/Fenway, will honor the life of Ted Williams on what would have been his 100th birthday, August 30 (the remembrance is two days early because the Sox are away).
Our speaker is Tom Clavin, who joined his remarkable writing gifts with those of Dick Enberg to author, Being Ted Williams: Growing Up with a Baseball Idol
.” (Tragically, upon completion of the manuscript, Mr. Enberg passed away.)
This will be a 12-Noon Luncheon at Residence Inn Back Bay Boston/Fenway, 125 Brookline Avenue (two blocks from Fenway Park).
$50 Per Person (includes autograph copy of Dick & Tom’s book).
RSVP: FenwayParkWriters@gmail.com
Details on the Web: www.FenwayParkWriters.org
This will be Tom’s second appearance at The Writers Series, as he came and spoke on his wonderful book on the DiMaggio Brothers; a book that won him the eternal gratitude of Dominic’s family.
And, of course the great Dick Flavin will be with us to recite his poem on the Splendid Splinter.
