Hello? Is this thing on? (aka, a new ‘Sandlot’ movie?)

Hi. Remember me? It’s been awhile. Couldn’t blame you if you didn’t.

Image result for two scribes, old-fashionedLong story short, I spent the last month after my regular job working with a gentleman on his memoirs. Nobody you know, so don’t bother trying to figure out who. Nothing baseball, or even sports, oriented.

It was truly an educational experience, since I’ve never done anything like this before. And perhaps won’t again.

But, as I mentioned, this experience came with a cost as well as a payoff, and that was it cut into my own writing — as well as reading — time. So now that that‘s over with, I’m happy to be able to resume this blog as well the others (Kaplan’s Korner on Jews and Sports, The Worried Journalist) I created.

So the first order of business is to let you know that “It looks like a prequel to The Sandlot is in the works” A prequel? What does that mean. The kids in the original are like what, 12 years old? Are we going back to t-ball days. Although I doubt there even was T-ball in the early 1960s. Still, it’s a baseball movie, so it’s for me. I just hope the prequel is better than the sequels, The Sandlot 2 and The Sandlot 3: Heading Home.
