Snow, snow, go away

February 6, 2014

After digging out three times yesterday, including two bouts of shoveling after the town’s plows pushed back the snow I had already cleared from my driveway, I thought I could get out this morning.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Wrong.

Like thieves in the night they came back in the wee morning hours to once again block our driveways, but not with light, fluffy snow; not with dense, heavy, wet snow; but with dense, heavy, wet snow that froze.

Now I’m not being paranoid, but I wonder if it had anything to do with this item I postred on facebook yesterday morning.

Anyway, the day wasn’t a total waste.

Photo: Well, at lest I'm getting SOMETHING done today.

They say California is having a drought. How about we send them our piled-up snow — it’s good enough for watering farmland — and they send us whatever salt they have lying around. Sounds like a fair deal.

And now they tell us more snow is on the way for the weekend? Spring training can’t come fast enough.
