Well, to be accurate, editor appearance.

Anderson helmed the fascinating and entertaining The New York Times Story of the Yankees: 382 Articles, Profiles and Essays from 1903 to Present, a real time-capsule about the Bronx Bombers.
Just as interesting as reading about Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle, Maris, Mattingly, Jeter, et al, is — from a literary point of view — seeing how writing styles have changed over the last 100-plus years, beginning before the availability of radio, when newspapers were the only game in town, so to speak, predating even radio as a way of spreading the gospel of baseball.
Anderson, who has written the “Sports of the Times” column for decades (he joined the Times in 1966 as a general reporter before moving to the sports department five years later), will discuss and sign his book at the Clinton Book Shop, Clinton, NJ, tomorrow beginning at 7 p.m. For information, contact the Shop at 908-735-8811 or readbooks@clintonbookshop.com.
And just as a heads-up, look for a Bookshelf podcast featuring Dave Anderson in the near future.
