UPDATE: Chen is the subject of the latest Inside Sports Illustrated podcast. As I was listening I was wondering how a writer feels when his story makes the cover. On the one hand, that’s pretty cool. But given the “curse,” how do they feel about even being moderately connected with an athlete’s misfortunes? As they say on the lawyer TV shows, asked and answered: host Richard Deitsch put that very question to Chen. Short answer: doesn’t really matter to him.
