Here we go again: Canseco to publish third book

Just when you thought it was safe to return to the library comes the news — rather the Tweet — that Jose Canseco, author of Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant ‘Roids, Smash Hits, and How Baseball Got Big and Vindicated: Big Names, Big Liars, and the Battle to Save Baseball will give it another go with his proposed project, a new book with the working title, The Truth Hurts.

According to this story in Tuesday’s NY Daily News,

“(The new book) kind of states how people view me, what’s happened to me financially, how telling the truth has damaged me completely; how powerful Major League Baseball really is,” says Canseco, who added he might self-publish the new tome. “It should be a No. 1 bestseller.”

Canseco announced the new venture on Twitter.

These days, Canseco is a Twitter fiend, regularly posting Tweets on everything from challenging A-Rod to a home run derby for charity – “alex rodriguez is a great player but he still cannot match my batspeed I would beat him in a home run competition any day,” read a recent Tweet – to acknowledging his bleak financial situation.
