Brian Wilson, meet Brian Wilson

(Because I keep LPs on my bookshelf.)

How cool would it be if the Giants’ closer actually used “Little Surfer Girl” as his march-in music?

Because I am a name-forgetter, I refer to him as The Beach Boy. I think it would be wonderful if he marched in to that!

How about “California Girls”, since the Giants are based in the Golden State, and also as a reminder to everyone that there is a melodic song with this title that would also pass a spell checker.

Other good ones are “Good Vibrations”, “I Get Around”, and “Do It Again”. (Although that last title is possibly associated by some folks with a different song done by Steely Dan, the Beach Boys also had a hit song called “Do It Again”.)

That shortstop for the Rangers may also have some possibilities. I am thinking more along the lines of a namesake of a 1980s Seattle Mariner with the first name of Jim rather than anyone with the last name of one of the “Who’s on First?” duo.
