  • Mint Condition, by Dave Jamieson
  • Satch, Dizzy and Rapid Robert, by Timothy Gay

In addition, Jonathan Eig, author of books on Lou Gehrig and Jackie Robinson (as well as his current title on Al Capone), contributed a duo-review of The Bullpen Gospels, by Dirk Hayhurst, and The Game From Where I Stand, by Doug Glanville, while Bill Scheft, a writer for Late Show with David Letterman, weighs in on Dan Epstein’s Big Hair and Plastic Grass.
