* Muscling in on the territory?

April 27, 2010

About fifty years ago, it was pretty much verbotten for ballplayers to lift weights. The managers thought it would make them too bulky and tight.

Nowadays it’s not uncommon to find the athletes gracing the cover of fitness magazines. Case in point: Matt Holliday of the St. Louis Cardinals, who appears on Muscle and Fitness‘ June cover.

The website features “Exclusive outtakes from M&F’s interview with St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Matt Holliday’s trainer, Steve Odgers, executive director at the Boras Sports Training Institute (BSTI) in Aliso Viejo.”

There’s also “bonus video” of a Holliday workout.

Wow.
