Baseball Lives: Men and Women of the Game Talk About Their Jobs, Their Lives, and the National Pastime, by Mike Bryan
Baseball: The Lives Behind the Seams, by Maury Allen
In the Ballpark: The Working Lives of Baseball People, by George Gmelch
Any of these titles will gie the reader a good idea of how many people are involved — not unlike a major motion picture or Broadway play — and how difficult those positions can be.
