Trying to figure out why The New York Times published this piece about Don Olson, author of Bambi’s Bombers: The First Time Around, about the 1978 team, which Olson wrote in 1985. The only reason I can think of is that baseball loves anniversaries. I could point to to any number of books heralding the 20th, 25th, 50th celebrations, but for the others it strikes me like dreams and vacation photos: the only ones interested are those who go through the experience.
