From the Truman State University (Kirksville, Missouri ) Web site:
Book exchange piles up the unexpected:
The double glass doors of Eddie’s Book Exchange open a wormhole to the past.
Stacks of yellowing volumes line the narrow corridors, antiques fill the dusty
glass cases and rows of oil paintings cover the walls. Owner Karl Hildebrand said his family has owned the bookstore for 146 years….
Within the maze of paperback copies also reside the unexpected one-of-a-kinds, such as 1962 copies of Playboy magazine, a book of Hindu magic, a framed $500 Civil War bond and an autographed Babe Ruth baseball. (emphasis added)
