The last page of today’s New York Times‘ art section features several wonderful baseball collectibles. The least expensive is a paperweight commemorating Derek Jeter’s 3,000th hit for $19.95 plus shipping. The most expensive: a Pride of the Yankees original movie poster for $4,950.
Other items include
- Jackie Robinson Story original movie poster ($1,950)
- Vintage baseball pins, ($115-595)
- Stadium infield dirt from all 30 ballparks ($249)
- A Yogi Berra signed and framed baseball card photo ($250)
- A framed Yankees pennant from 1961 (($1,450)
Perhaps the one that I would consider is the “Personalized New York Times Baseball Team History Book.” Pick any team, and they even stamp your name on it. $69.95.
There are lots more items listed on the website.
Anything to separate you from your money.
