What is so rare as a day in June?

Evidently this book, according to John Thorn.

The Krank: His Language and What It Means is a humorous glossary of baseball terms,” writes Thorn, referring to the 1888 publication written by Thomas W. Lawson with illustrations by Sears Gallagher.

According to Thorn — who provides a slideshow for the entire book — “The New York Public Library has a copy, and so does the National Baseball Hall of Fame Library. Three other copies appear to exist, also held by institutions, and another, the sixth, was sold at auction nine years ago.”
