Sorry to miss this one

June 25, 2014

But I have a softball playoff game scheduled for tonight.

And sorry for the late posting, but if you’re in NYC tonight, The Museum of the City of New York is hosting…

New Yorkers and Baseball: A Book Talk
Wednesday, June 25 at 6:30 pm

Join noted authors and baseball fans George Vecsey, Kevin Baker, Stefan Fatsis, and Lee Gutkind, contributors to the new anthology, For the Love of Baseball: A Celebration of the Game That Connects Us All, co-edited by Lee Gutkind and Andrew Blauner (Skyhorse Publishing). They’ll discuss why the drama, romance, and lasting traditions of baseball make it the best sport to write about in New York. Co-sponsored by the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center, New York Empire Baseball, Creative Nonfiction magazine, NoPro Sports, and the Society of American Baseball Research (SABR) New York City Chapter.

Free for Museum members; $12 students/seniors; $16 general public. For more information, or to order tickets by phone, call 917-492-3395.
