Tonight 7 p.nm. at the Bergino Baseball Clubhouse, Ray Negron will discuss his new book, Yankee Miracles: Life with the Boss and the Bronx Bombers. I’ll have to read that one soon and compare it with Marty Appel’s Now Pitching for the Yankees: Spinning the News for Mickey, Reggie and George
.
Next at the Clubhouse: Vernona Gomez on her bio of her father, Lefty: An American Odyssey.
On Dec. 15 Greg Prince will launch his latest, The Happiest Recap: First Base (1962-1973): 50 Years of the New York Mets As Told in 500 Amazin’ Wins (Volume 1)
, the first in a four-volume series, at Foley’s NY Pub from Noon to 2.p.m. It’s also Prince’s 50th birthday celebration. Can’t think of a better present than to buy his book.
I’ll be posting a Mets-centric podcast soon (if the computer holds up) featuring interviews Prince and David Ferry, author Total Mets: The Definitive Encyclopedia of the New York Mets’ First Half-Century.
