They’re pulling out all the stops for Tony La Russa as his new book — One Last Strike: Fifty Years in Baseball, Ten and a Half Games Back, and One Final Championship Season — hits the stores.

Yesterday was Tony La Russa day, as proclaimed by the mayor of St. Louis. Here’s a list of activities planned for the future Hall of Fame ex-manager over the next few days.
