In honor of opening week, The New York Times posted this piece in its Arts Beat blog in which several of their writers and editors pick their favorite baseball titles.

I often ask myself what baseball book I’d take to the proverbial desert island.  The surprisingly not-named “The Glory of Their Times” would be it.
