Author appearance: R.A. Dickey

March 6, 2012

The Mets’ resident egghead is publishing Wherever I Wind Up: My Quest for Truth, Authenticity and the Perfect Knuckleball (with Wayne Coffey). Would it be mean to call Dickey a knucklehead, too? He had a nice Q&A — more about the writing than his pitching — in the Newark Star-Ledger on Sunday.

So, like his Mets’ ancestor Buddy Harrelson, Dickey will be making the rounds. First stop: Friday, April 6, Bookends, 211 East Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood NJ, 6 p.m. (201-445-0726).

He will also appear

• Tuesday, April 10, B&N Citigroup Center, 160 E 54th Street, New York, NY, 11:30 a.m. (212-750-8033)

• Saturday, April 21, B&N Utopia Center, 176-60 Union Turnpike, Fresh Meadows, NY, 6 p.m. (718-380-4340 )
