Congratulations to Barry Larkin

The newest inductee to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

As of the moment, there are no stand-alone books about Larkin, but I’m willing to be there’s a manuscript somewhere that’s about to get a rush job. I’m also willing to bet that he has a good chance of being the last player elected from the free agency era to spend his entire career with one team.

Larkin received 86.4 percent of the votes cast. The only players to gain more than 50 percent of the vote were Jack Morris (66.7%), Jeff Bagwell (56.0%), and Lee Smith (50.6%).

A very deserving guy, but Ron I think you are forgetting about Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera, who will surely be in the HOF and I can’t see playing for any team other than the Yankees at this stage in their lives.
Oh, and Chipper Jones should get in too, and I doubt he will play any place besides Atlanta.
Too bad that Tim Raines doesn’t get more love.  I always thought he was a great player.
