Authors appearance: Gelf hosts Frommer, Keri, and Whitaker

Harvey Frommer (Remembering Fenway Park: An Oral and Narrative History of the Home of the Boston Red Sox), Jonah Keri (The Extra 2%: How Wall Street Strategies Took a Major League Baseball Team from Worst to First), and Lang Whitaker (In the Time of Bobby Cox: The Atlanta Braves, Their Manager, My Couch, Two Decades, and Me) will discuss their new books as Gelf Magazine’s Varsity Letters sports reading series returns on Thursday, May 5, at Manhattan’s (Le) Poisson Rouge.

Frommer will hit the highlights of Fenway Park history, Keri will explain how the Tampa Bay Rays have contended despite a small budget and limited fan base, and Whitaker will trace the interwoven history of his own life and Braves manager Bobby Cox’s.

Doors open at 7, event starts at 7:30. There is no admission charge.
