* Author profile: Michael D'Antonio

April 7, 2009

The Los Angeles Daily New‘s Tom Hoffarth did this profile of Michael D’Antonio, author of Forever Blue: The True Story of Walter O’Malley, Baseball’s Most Controversial Owner and the Dodgers of Brooklyn and New York, in which he claims the team’s move to the West Coast it wasn’t all about the money.

Key line:

The conclusion you’re apt to have if you’re to believe D’Antonio — and with his impartial approach, that shouldn’t be difficult — is that while this might appear to be an exercise in revisionist history, it’s really an historical look at a visionary who didn’t necessarily have the right public relations people in place.
