* For all you baseball geniuses out there

January 16, 2009

This was today’s entry on my Mensa Puzzle Calendar:

“Add one letter to the four letters at each base to form the word for a player on a Major League baseball team. Then take those added letters and add one more to form yet another team player.”

It looks better in the original, and may be more challenging in that format, but my HTML skills aren’t that great so here’s the bare bones version:

Home Plate: IRGE ___
First Base: VERB ___
Second Base: EPDA ___
Third base: LARY ___

Answer: ________

(The answers were correct, but removed so as not to give it away.)

Thanks. That was fun. Is there a prize, or do I just get to feel smart for a while? 🙂

Very good. Your “prize” is the satisfaction in knowing that you answered a Mensa question that many might not have gotten.
