One of my favorite genres just received a new addition with The Bambino Secret, which deals with the Mighty Babe, among more contemporary issues.

Fans of this type of book would do well to revisit the series of Mickey Rawlings books by Troy Soos, set in the early part of the 20th century. Soos’ attention to detail is superb and his incorporation of real-life players is seamless and quite believable.
