Funny how the editor of Deadspin.com has such disdain against traditional journalism except when he seems to benefit from it. Case in point, his article on the Chicago Cubs in the New York Times‘ “Play” supplement. On the other hand, is the newspaper just as “guilty” of providing the forum?

I respectfully disagree with your characterization of Mr. Leitch. It is not he who shows disdain for traditional journalism, but traditional journalists who have shown disdain for Leitch and other writers associated with blogging. I think you’d be hard pressed to find an example of Leitch expressing disdain for traditional media (frustration with certain journalists, maybe, but not disdain for the profession). He has written for the Times several times over the past two years.
