* How to succeed in business…

April 2, 2008

The Minneapolis-based Finance and Commerce reports on entrepreneurs John Bonnes and Tom Genrich, a couple of Davids trying to beat back the Goliaths (in the form of the Minnesota Twins) by hawking Game Day, their own (unauthorized) version of the team’s program, available for sail at the Metrodome. They also host a similarly-named blog.

They’re marketing to the same fans who might otherwise buy the official Twins scorecard, so the relationship between the Twins and GameDay has been less than cozy. Moreover, Major League Baseball is “wary” of working with independent publications, Genrich said.

Now there’s a shocker.
