(Paid) Signs of the Apocalypse

What next, sponsorship by Chico’s Bail Bonds?

It’s bad enough there are so many variables — three tops, three bottoms, warm-up shirts, etc., not to mention all the different hats…

Marc Okkonen published a colorful history (left), which chronicles the changes — subtle and not so — for all the franchises during the 20th century.

Another good sources of Uni-news include this link to Baseball-Almanac.com,

Then there’s always the Uniwatch blog (which also covers non-baseball items; you’ve been warned).

Dressed to the Nines is an on-line exhibit, part of Baseball-Reference.com. Just scroll down to the bottom of any player’s page to find a link to the uniform(s) he wore during his major league tenure. This here’s Ted Williams get-up for his rookie year of 1939. DTTN is also a nice stand-alone presence on the history and components of the uniform.

Every kid has dreams, and as parents we hope to provide more for our children then we were given as kids. No, not the apocalypse, especially for Chico who was the team sponsoner for the Bad News Bears
I am a rep for Kelley Athletic and I also maintain the Hirsch Group site where we post baseball tips, news and articles
Thanks for considering!
