Here’s an interview with the author, Nancy Churnin, who serves as the theater critic for The Dallas Morning News.

Here’s a review from the Tampa Bay Tribune of Howard Megdal’s latest offering, The Cardinals Way: How One Team Embraced Tradition and Moneyball at the Same Time. Upshot: “Megdal presents [the Cardinals’] vision in a clear, balanced narrative.” Here’s the St. Louis Post Dispatch critique.

♦ Joe Posnanski, author of The Soul of Baseball: A Road Trip Through Buck O’Neil’s America rails against the Hall of Fame system that still hasn’t seen fit to put him in Cooperstown for NBC’s sportsworld site.

This would have looked nice under glass on my bookshelf, but I only bid $12,645, so…

♦ Royals Review, one of those SBNation pages, posted this review of Diehards: Why Fans Care So Much About Sports by Chip Scarinzi. Upshot: ” If you’ve ever been introspective about why it is you care so much about a team that stomped on your spirit for so many years only to rise from the ashes to give you the most thrilling fall this town has ever seen, give Diehards a read.”
