Paying it forward

April 14, 2015

NadelA few weeks ago, I published a Q&A with Matt Nadel, the 16-year-old blogger and author of Amazing Aaron to Zero Zippers. So I got this brilliant of idea of killing two birds with one stone: cleaning up and “investing” in the future of baseball scholarship.

I’ve been trying to cull the herd of my baseball library with little success, but I thought, here’s someone — a budding baseball historian — who might appreciate adding a few books to his own collection. So accompanied by his dad, Steve, he came over to the house to take his pick. Have to say, I was hoping he’d take more than the 60 or so volumes he selected, but you have to start someplace.
