Wait, what? Esteban Loaiza edition

I don’t know what I found more bizarre: the fact that former MLB pitcher Esteban Loaiza had been accused by his late wife, Jenni Rivera, of “having a relationship” with her daughter, Chiquis, or that he’s coming out with a book.

Loaiza pitcher for eight teams in a 13-year career that netted him a record of 126-114 with an ERA of 4.65. I know they give ridiculous amounts of money to mediocre-to-average players, but book deals, too?

Esteban spoke to the Mexican press and revealed, “This book is going to be really important because I’m going to talk about my life in baseball and I’ll answer questions about my personal life.” It seems so wrong to make personal remarks about his life with Jenni. Is his bank account that low that he’s willing to exploit Jenni’s memory in this way? Esteban has clearly moved on with his partner Cristina Eustace and the couple is expecting a baby boy together.
