Calling all (baseball) moviemakers: Hall of Fame to host ninth Film Festival

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will recognize the twin traditions of baseball and film when, for the ninth consecutive year, it hosts the Baseball Film Festival in Cooperstown, Sept. 19-21.

https://i0.wp.com/www.media-alliance.org/img/original/camera.jpg?resize=242%2C172Filmmakers can submit their work to be considered for the Festival through Friday, Sept. 5. Films can be of any length and genre, but must have been released within the last five years and feature baseball as a primary or secondary theme.

To submit a film for the 2014 Baseball Film Festival, please send three DVD copies to: National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, c/o Education Department, Baseball Film Festival, 25 Main Street, Cooperstown, NY, 13326. Films selected will be screened at the Museum during the Baseball Film Festival.

Tickets for each screening are free but must be reserved. Participants in the Museum’s Membership Program can reserve tickets starting Sept. 8 by calling 607-547-0397 or visiting the Membership desk at the Museum.

Films will shown during several blocks throughout the weekend in the Museum’s Bullpen Theater. A complete list of the films to be screened during the weekend will be released in September.
