Baseball Storytelling returns to the Clubhouse

“Baseball As Good Medicine: The Amazing, Magical, Mysterious Healing Qualities of Baseball”
A competitive storytelling event to benefit the Photo ID Foundation
The Photo ID Foundation is an organization devoted to children and young adults battling life-threatening illnesses which puts cameras and other tools in their hands, allowing them to “speak” about their experiences in words and images.
For this event, a unique variety of storytellers including umpire Perry Barber; Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame artist Dick Perez; SLAM Editor-in-Chief Ben Osborne; Dr. Jonathan Samuels; WNYC reporter/writer Jim O’Grady; writer/storyteller Thomas Pryor, who appeared in PBS’ Baseball A NY Love Story. Each will tell a brief story relating to the theme of “Baseball As Good Medicine”
A panel of judges including performer/writer Mary Brienza and communications wiz John Beilenson.
You get to sit in the Clubhouse bleachers, enjoy a beer/beverage/ballpark snack, and watch it take place in front of you.
Seats are limited, with a contribution of $50.
