Rosengren

You can keep up with Rosengren’s appearances on his website.

  • Remember what I said about Barra a minute ago? The same is true of his review of the Rose book.
  • Only a Game host Bill Littlefield combines his own thoughts on the book with an interview with the author.
  • The Wall Street Journal ran this review. It’s hit or miss if you’ll be able to read it because it’s behind a paywall. But sometimes you can “sneak in.”
  • Kennedy was a guest on SportsTalk NY last Sunday.
  • He was also on a recent episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers. Keri is scheduled for an appearance next month. Meyers is obviously a big baseball author fan. Too bad he wasn’t on the air last year.

SI excerpt.

Rose will be making an appearance on Saturday at the Niagara Falls Sports Expo.

  • As he did for Kennedy, here’s Littlefield on Keri and his book.
  • The Windsor Star ran this profile (and video) on Russ Hansen , who contributed the photo work for Up, Up, and Away.
  • Piggybacking on Keri’s project is this and this about Danny Gallagher and his book about the 1994 team, ostensibly the bets in franchise history, but doomed by the strike that prevented them from what would have most likely been a 100-win season and a trip to the playoffs.

OAG excerpt

Grantland will evidently be running a series of excerpts, beginning with this, while the Toronto Globe and Mail posted this. (To be honest, I haven’t cross-referenced these so there might be some duplication.)

I’ve picked up the Marichal/Roseboro book but maybe I’ll use some of my ebook settlement credits to pick up the Pete Rose and the Montreal Expos book. All three of these look terrific, probably the cream of the crop for the new baseball book season.
