Andy Wolfenson, author of Deadly Fantasy (which, full disclosure, I blurbed), will be at Here’s the Story, 1043 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, for a book signing on Friday, April 4 at 6:30 p.m.
The Trumbull (CT) Library announced recently that this year’s One Book One Town choice is The Art of Fielding, by Chad Harbach. He will be appearing at the Library on Sunday, April 6. The program is free, but registration at www.trumbullct-library.org is required.
Can’t believe this is the 25th anniversary of Pete Rose’s banishment. And he’s still keeping himself on the public’s consciousness. I’ll be posting a podcast “Bookshelf Conversation” with Kostya Kennedy, author of the just-released Pete Rose: An American Dilemma, shortly (in the meantime you can read/hear this from Kennedy’s March 15 appearance on NPR’s Only a Game). Sports Illustrated, Kennedy’s employer, recently made the book it’s cover story and ran an excerpt.
Other excerpts appeared in the NY Daily News and MSNBC.com
