Or something like that.

When I was writing 501 Baseball Books Fans Must Read before They Die, one of the things I had to deal with was going, hat in hand, to ask people I respected to write those little blurbs/advance praise things. Now I’m the one being asked, and it’s pretty flattering I must say. (I had a line excerpted from a review I did for a book about cooking which was subsequently used for the paperback edition; that was cool, too.)
