Almost in time for the holidays: Baseball Bookshelf giveaway

December 19, 2013

Sometimes I wish publishers would be a little more detail-oriented when sending review copies. Most recently I have received three copies of Ben Bradlee Jr.’s The Kid: The Immortal Life of Ted Williams, and two of Steve Rushin’s The 34-Ton Bat.

So in an effort to share the wealth (and not clutter up the house any more than it already is), I am offering The Kid to the first person to post a comment here and the 34-Ton Bat to the second. The only thing I ask is that the recipient take a photo with his or her new prize and send it here for posting.

No e-mails, please. When you post a comment, your e-mail shows up in the moderation notification I receive.

Unfortunately, I doubt I will be able to send out the books prior to the holidays. If you want a great baseball title for the fan in your life delivered on time, might I suggest, with all due humility and modesty, 501 Baseball Books Fans Must Read before They Die. You’ll be glad you did, and so will my wife and kid.

Good luck.
