Yes, if you subscribe for an eight-week subscription to the digital version of the paper, you can receive a copy of For Boston: From Worst to First, the Improbable Dream Season of the 2013 Red Sox . After the introductory period, the price bumps up to $3.99/week.

You cancel at any time but you have to do it either by phone or through a Globe “chat,” rather than just email. I guess they figure they can pressure you to keep the subscription going if it’s more “personal.”

Anyway, the book is a $10.95 value, so I think it’s worth it, even if it is just a rehash of articles and photos that have already appeared in the paper.
