National Pastime Radio: Bob Ojeda and Frank Deford

June 20, 2012

Former ML pitcher Bobby Ojeda published this lengthy piece in the May 26 New York Times about the pain incurred by his chosen profession. Yesterday he discussed it on NPR’s Fresh Air. Kind of surprising, since he’s not plugging a book…

Frank Deford does regular commentary pieces for the public radio network. His latest considers one of the unusual aspects of baseball: while all other sports have their “ins” and “outs,” baseball is the only one that works in terms of “fair” and “foul.”
