National Pastime Radio: Jonah Hill and Sportsphone

February 17, 2012

Well, perhaps not the real Sportsphone, which was popular back in the 1980s. For the price of a call, you could hear updated recorded messages about what was going on on the diamond, the court, the field, etc.

And to be technical about it, the How to Do Everything podcast isn’t technically NPR. However it is mentioned at the end of Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, so that’s close enough for jazz.

Anyway, in the latest installment, the hosts — Mike Danforth and Ian Chillag — chat with a gentleman who found a way to find out the latest score at the baseball game. And its ingenious in its simplicity. Listen here.

Jonah Hill — excuse me, the Oscar-nominated Jonah Hill — was a recent guest on The Leonard Lopate Show.
