Diane Firstman still has too much time on her hands

A few weeks back I posted an entry about Diane Firstman’s imaginative baseball rendition of The 12 Days of Christmas on her Value Over Replacement Grit blog.

Well, she’s at it again, this time deconstructing the classic poem “Casey at the Bat” to see how many times the scenario — home team down 4-2 with two out in the ninth with runners on second and third, and an 0-2 count on the batter, with the outcome a game-ending strikeout — actually occurred in the Majors over the last 60 years. Here’s the result.

No …. I don’t have too much time on my hands …. I just choose to use my free time in different ways. 🙂
