What I’m reading on my vacation

October 28, 2011

Heading off to the Berkshires for a week, weather permitting. I don’t have a Kindle/Nook/e-reader, so I have to do it the old-fashioned way: schlepping a box of books (fortunately, we’re driving). I always take too many books and too few clothes (fortunately we’ll have a washing machine in our timeshare unit).

So this is what I’ll be trying to get through:

  • Fear Strikes Out, by Jim Piersall
  • A Talk in the Park, by Curt Smith
  • Brittle Innings, by Michael Bishop
  • “Perfection,” a short story by Michael Helprin

Seems like enough.
