Time-honored cliches

“There’s no tomorrow, so it’s one of those things where you go out there and leave nothing in the tank.”

That was Boston Red Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis. And virtually every athlete you will talk to about a Game 7 will say some variation of the same thing.

So while we’re on the subject (warning: A couple of F-bombs):

And we go Emma Span-ing the world for more. One of these days — the good Lord willing — I’m going to devote a whole (slim) book to them. But until them I have to take it one day at a time and give it 110 percent.
